This showcase will feature presentations on best practices, inspiring stories, and practical tools to improve cultural and linguistic responsiveness. 
The presentations include:

  • Cultural Enhancement of Greene County 
    • Topics: Findings from the Spring 2024 Cultural Linguistics Survey, upcoming community resource fairs, new cultural-competency training, and a firsthand account of forming a grassroots support group. 
  • Engaging Diverse Communities: Outreach, Awareness & Connections  
    • Topics: Six professional development workshops to boost provider capacity, fostering CLAS (Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services) accountability, and strengthening bonds between providers and communities. 
  • Blair County Cultural & Linguistic Initiatives 
    • Topics: The rollout of a CLAS Standard #9 policy, addressing housing and social determinant challenges through training, and launching a sustainable Alternative Payment Arrangement for Family-Driven Case Management.
